The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration has again, promised to alleviate the suffering of the masses with the release of more than 100,000 metric tons of grains.
The promise came from the federal government after a closed door meeting on Tuesday to discuss the ravaging food crisis in the country which has resulted in protests in some parts of the country.
According to information, angry youths and women, took to the streets of Minna, the Niger state capital, to protest the high cost of living; in particular, soaring prices of food items. Protests for the same reasons, took place in Ondo state and Kano state respectively.
It is worth mentioning that, prices of foodstuffs, other essential commodities, and the general costs of living, have astronomically increased since the beginning of the Bola Ahmed led government.
